Aphidius matricariae is a parasitic wasp. They parasite on more than 40 species of aphids. They are applied against the aphids for protection of tomato, pepper, tobacco and peach crops. Aphidius matricariae develops at the temperatures of 10-30°С. The optimal conditions are a temperature of 25°C and a relative air humidity of 70–80%. The parasite moves very well and can detect the aphid at the distance of 80 m. It is active in the morning. Aphidius damages all the aphids at any development stages. The female parasite needs an additional food: water and the sugary excretions of the aphid.
